The St. Louis Blues look to extend their point streak to 10 games when they host the Anaheim Ducks. More importantly they are looking for a victory, After winning 7 straight games, they’ve dropped their most recent two in OT/SO.

The Blues lost to the Coyotes on Tuesday 3-2 in a SO and then again to the Blue Jackets 3-2 in OT. The Ducks most recent game was a 5-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. The Blues are 12-3-5 on the year, good for 29 points, while the Ducks are 9-9-2, good for 20 points. The Blues at home are 5-1-3, while the Ducks on the road are 3-5-0.

Blues goalie Jordan Binnington will be back in net, after Jake Allen got the start on the road in Columbus. The Blues are starting to shows signs of fatigue, showing up in bad penalties and being outshot heavily. They must reign in the mental mistakes, because they’re beating themselves and giving other teams points. A combination of injuries to Tarasenko/Steen and half of their games going to OT/SO is starting to show. Their schedule has been rather labor intensive, seeing them play multiple back-to-backs this month.

At the end of the day, if you were to tell me that the Blues were atop the Western Conference and Central Division with 29 points thru 20 games, I’d take that.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM CT.
